As a single mother of two, Sharalee now works from her Vancouver studio, receiving numerous awards and recognition for her unique style. The intriguing layers become ever challenging or the viewer. Work by Reghr can be found around the world in private as well as in public collections. Sharalee has always loved art and comes from several generations of artists. The desire became a passion while teaching art at a high school in Estevan, Saskatchewan and reading a book by Julia Cameron called "the Artist's Way". Being an artist allows her to combine her love of history and ideas in a way that is expressive and self-fulfilling. As a storyteller, she has found ways of relaying historical and personal stories, while providing an insight into the process. The story telling was very much an element of her pioneering heritage, growing up on a the prairies. As an artist, she is interested in inspiring people's spirits to be the best that they can be by looking at what has gone before. |
